So, you know up at the front, where your two reflectors used to be? What did you use to plug that hole? I'm heading to the hardware store tomorrow to just try to match it up with the thread from the reflector. That should do the trick, right? Just a little worried about it coming lose while riding and having it ping around the radiator or something.

I actually just ordered them from the Suzuki dealer and yes, they are the same as the others

Other than exhaust, servo, and tail, where did you cut weight? Great Job! I went with a 520 chain conversion and aluminum sprockets, removed stock mirrors and replaced with a Rizoma bar end mirror, aluminum handlebars and mounts, removed acid battery and replaced with lithium battery, removed tool kit and removed part of airbox. Thanks What handlebars did you go with, there are like 14 different evo bars. The ones I got couldn't be any more wrong... $60 in the trash. My bro put the Carmichael evo bars on his fz09 and they didn't look like they would fit mine at all, the center portion of the bar looks too wide. I got the whindam and it's even worse but I didn't notice until after I cut the ends off.

You just have to replace the handlebar stays if you get a bigger bar like a 1 inch instead of the 7/8. Its very easy yo do. I believe the poster her has the larger bars and replaced the stays as well

No not the clamps, I have the 1-1/8 clamps already. I need to know what bars he got, the evo bar has 14 different styles. The two styles I tried didn't work they were too wide for our cables to reach when turning and there was no roo. For the mirror to mount, it would have mounted on the bend of the bar.

Did the bars actually fit the bike or not. If the bars fit on the bike they work. You may just have a problem with how your cables were routed when the bike was built. I know my cables were routed incorrectly and had to be rerouted when the new bar was put on.

They bolt on but the part of the bar where the grips and controls go are too short, there is not adequate room for the mirrors or brake res. The evo bar is a universal bar so it's not going to fit every bikes controls the same.that is why there are 14 different bend styles.

Sounds like you may have the same problem I did. Everything was fine with the stock bars on but I did have to reroute the cables for my new renthal bars to fit. They dont appear to be much wider either.

You won't be able to cut the ends for them to fit the controls. I also have custom length throttle cables. Hope that helps

I'm about $100 in with nothing to show for it and a set of bars in the garbage.

So with the Carmichael bar, you did or didn't cut the ends? Our bars are very narrow from factory. My brother put the Carmichael bars on his fz09 and he cut about an inch off each end and has cable room to spare. I think the problem I had with the bars I got was they were too wide down at the clamps and had short bars with minimal room for controls. The Carmichael bar looks like the opposite I might just order one and see what it looks like before I hack it up.
