I finally weighed the bike after the modifications. Based on the manufactures wet weight, its somewhere around 470 lbs and after the mods mine weighed in at 430 lbs. So thats a 40 lbs loss in weight and a 24 hp gain, which translates to a much faster motorcycle and more in line with the fj-09 which is 462 lbs wet and 114 hp with a 847 cc motor.

Other than exhaust, servo, and tail, where did you cut weight? Great Job!

In my build I also got savings from the removing the front and rear turn signals with integrated rear and fork mount front, replacing mirrors with bar mounts and replacing rider pegs with performance pegs. Replacing the rider pegs alone will give you back 2 pounds. Those things are bricks

I went with a 520 chain conversion and aluminum sprockets, removed stock mirrors and replaced with a Rizoma bar end mirror, aluminum handlebars and mounts, removed acid battery and replaced with lithium battery, removed tool kit and removed part of airbox. Thanks

I still have my passenger pegs as well. I was talking about the rider pegs. They are Hayabusa OEM pegs and weigh about a pound each. You can getsome nice performance pegs that are light as a feather

Can you please explain how you fit gixxer600 headers? They bolted up with no problem. You will need to tweak them to get minimal clearance from the oil reservoir and add a heat sheild to the oil reservoir.

I got the carbon fiber except for the chin piece and he actually mailed that part today, so it should be complete by the end of the week. The rearsets set back 3" more and 1" higher, so for me they are ideal but I am also 5'7 with a short inseam. I appreciate it, thx
I agree, black pegs!

I wanted them so bad I still almost did it. Let me know how your chin piece works out. I got mine from another guy and it sucked. That piece had to be perfect to fit. If it doesnt work you can always plastidip. The bike definitely has acquired some more badassery with the new parts

I even have them adjusted as low and forward as possible and it's still a big adjustment. I will let you know once I get the peice.
