Hi, I just took delivery of a 2018 GSX-S750. I am thinking ahead because I will do all the basic maintenance. I have never owned a chain driven street bike with an axle nut on both sides of the swingarm. The owners manual just says to loosen the axle nut on the side with the chain, then use the adjusters. I did find on another bike website this statement regarding this: "turn both nuts on both sides of the swingarm simultaneously; this will help keep the torque or twisting even between both sides."
What do you guys do?

Hi mrstamp80,
I watched your video before I became a member here. It is one of the reasons I am asking this question LOL. I see you loosening and tightening the axle nut on the right side. Does your owners manual say to do it that way? My 2018 manual just says to loosen axle nut on the left side. I even looked at the new Kawasaki Z900 manual since it has this setup as well and it says to loosen axle nut on the left side only. I have been doing chain maintenance for years, but just never had a bike with an axle nut on both sides of the swingarm.

I break em both loose. I'm pretty sure both bikes have the same nuts ;]

I found the owners manual says to just loosen the left side nut, however you have to hold the right side with a 27 mm wrench or socket to keep it from moving anyways. It does show or say to get your final 83 ft lbs of torque on the left side nut though. Again you have to hold the right side nut in place with 27 mm wrench or socket.
