So i was recently in the canyons for the first time and might have side swiped a mountain, i didnt go down and the bike didnt shut off, i did however bust my knee along with the crankshaft cover, more specifically the starter case and its lower half. I got new covers, new gaskets, made sure there wasnt any loose metal or debree in there, put it all back on, and now the bike wont start, doesnt turn over or nothin, and i noticed the starter got really hot. The bike is a 2015 gsx s750 by the way. Any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful, thanks!

Sounds like something is in a bind. I would take it back apart. Gaskets are cheap, don't reuse the old one. On a side note, glad you are ok, it could have been much worse.

Like stamp said, glad you're ok. Rock cuts are dangerous. If it was me, I'd pull the starter and plugs first and see if the motor will turn. Maybe the starter is the problem. You can either take the plug off the crank case and turn it with a socket or put it in gear and turn the back wheel.

I hope you figure it out. I know how much it hurts to have the bike on the sideline.

Last person the had damage on that side ended up with a bent crank I believe. Pull every thing apart, turn it over by hand.
