Sooo. Long story short- I forgot to put the oil filler plug back in after replacing some oil. Didn't realize it till after it rained pretty hard for about 20 minutes . I wouldn't think, just because the opening is almost on the side that a whole lot of water got in there. I wonder if i am ok just riding the bike and letting whatever moisture is in there evaporating or should I flush it out with a couple of oil changes?

I talked to a local shop. Im going to run a couple of oil changes through it. 30.00 worth of oil and a new filter will be cheap insurance.

As long as you didn't start the bike after the rain, one oil change should be good. Water is heavier than oil, so the water will drain first then the oil.

Drain oil/water combo. Refill with cheap oil and run it for 3-5 mins to emulsify left over water and oil. Drain and replace filter and oil with your regular Motul 7100.
This seems extreme, but if you like to know your bike is for sure safe I would do the above. Costly yes, but way cheaper than something major happening. Had a few dirt bikes and 4 wheelers take on water before. that is how we addressed it

I forgot how to add a pic, otherwise I'd show what it looks like. I'll just take it to a shop after a little Google search I read to use a heat gun on the window . Also when I let it run before the final oil change I didn't ride it so I'm not sure if I got the bike up to temp. I'm going to do another oil change to be extra sure
