To: anyone who's had a dyno tune, what was the targeted AFR that it was tuned too? i know the GSXR guys like to tune to 13.1:1, but i read over on the European GSR750 forums that 14:1 (seems too lean to me) is what the GSR 750 likes. can anyone who's had a tune let me know? Im trying to get a good fuel map built with my Bazzaz and auto tuner. and 13.1:1 seems too harsh. I feel it would do well on a race track, but for daily driving its a bit harsh. any input is greatly appreciated

When they say 13:1 they mean 13 parts air to 1 part fuel, so 14:1 is leaner than 13:1. If I'm not mistaken most cars are programmed at 14.7:1 for the cleanest burn emission wise, while high performance engine builders would program the ECM to run around 12.5:1 for the most power. This ratio would change if they were running race fuel.

Sorry was a typo. I meant 14 seemed too lean. And I literally mean 13.1:1. I'm thinking of making a map at 12.8:1 and another at 13:1 and see which the bike likes more.

Right on. Can't wait to hear your results. Because I still have 4 years warranty left I have to live vicariously though the members of this forum.

I was stupid and wasted my money on the extended warranty I'm sure it's long voided by now
