Part number:51800-08810 Take time - use directions. I started one night after work then finished up the next night. Existing screen comes off easily once the (2) fairing bolts are removed and fairing assy pivots down. New screen install's not bad once you get past drilling out (4) .413 diameter holes in the existing radiused windscreen. The drilling part's made much easier as Suzuki thankfully put (4) template marks on the inside of the stock screen to aid in drilling the Godzilla sized holes. Just took my time. Started with a quarter inch bit for pilot hole and ended up pretty much reaming each hole out with that bit until they were close to size (template marks provide exact diameter). Once really close with the quarter inch bit I went to the big bit (closest I had to size was .47 dia) to clean holes up. Worked great. Getting the holes right wasn't as bad as it might sound. Was trying to be careful so I could reuse stock screen later if I wanted to. Once holes are done you can install the mounts (pic below) for the new screen right on top of the old one. Didn't see any torque values for the (4) bolts that attach the new screen to the old so that's a go by feel thing. Not sure what'll happen if you strip out the wonky rubber nuts these bolts go into...so just don't do that. Below you'll find some pics that I couldn't find anywhere prior to buying this one, so you can see how it all goes together. Lot of good looking screen options out there. Guessing some of them are more like a direct bolt on. Just something about this one jumped out, the price was right...happy with end result. At 6ft with 36in inseam, airblast seems to hit around the top of helmet now instead of chest level. Buffeting's not bad. Will be different for everyone considering height/helmet choice/etc. Did the headlight/marker light mod at same time. Good stuff. -Scott

I am surprised that the oem screen, is that involved of a install. My puig, no drilling and took about 5 min to install.

Hate having to mess up stock parts to install others, but am happy with how it turned out. Below are a couple more pix/angles I couldn't find anywhere prior to buying. Attachments:

Reviving this thread as I'm curious if you are still satisfied with this windscreen? Or if anyone else has gotten it and has thoughts? I'm 6ft tall as well.
I'm debating on this or the Puig. I don't do a lot of highway riding but yesterday I spent about 200 miles each way and got beat up the whole time.

I know! I rode enough distance to get to you just in the wrong direction, lol. I may very well do that before the X-Mas money I don't have burns a hole in my pocket.

Hands down very satisfied with this one. Actually liked the stock non-windscreen ok. Like the ride better now..and looks alot better. My work commute's 60 miles. There are some days that you're gonna get beat up the whole time pretty much regardless of which small screen you go with. With this one there is more work involved on install than most of the alternatives...zero regrets on the choice tho.

Big thing's just to set some time aside. If thing's don't go exactly right initially, just back off and go at it again later. Don't over torque those rubber nuts at the end. Can always tighten abit more later if needed. You won't be disappointed with end result. -Scott

Thanks! I thumbed through the instructions and it doesn't look too bad. I brought the screen in to work to get the holes drilled it's just been frigid cold here and dark by the time I get home so I haven't taken time to put it all together. Not much "prep work" that you can do other than get the holes drilled.

If you would have got the puig, you wouldn't be drilling any holes. just sayin.............. Maybe this spring we'll get together as i am curious to see the difference between the oem and aftermarket.

It's on! Going to ride a bit tomorrow and snap some pics and gather my thoughts on it. I may scan the instructions for others to gander at as well. Honestly the install isn't that bad once you see how it all goes together.
While it does attach to the existing fly screen it bolts to brackets that mount below the speedo (hence the holes). In the end it actually makes everything studier.

Near half inch drill bits just aren't something I kept around in the garage. And having to drill those holes yourself, with the radiused screen, is just something I thought should be pointed out. Cheers! -Scott

Rode yesterday but it was really cold (25*) so it was hard to focus on anything but cold. Something I noticed right away is that it took pressure off of most of my chest though. Before anywhere from the waist up I could hold my hand up and have it be pushed up against me. Now there is a "low pressure" area up until my upper chest area almost to my shoulders until I really feel pressure against my hand.
I didn't get a "bobble head" effect at all so I think I'm getting just enough wind to still have my body/head remain stable but to alleviate that full torso wind pressure I was always getting. I rode mostly through town (no difference there from what I can tell) and some short trips on the highway.

The most notable difference i felt with my puig was at highway speeds. Before the windscreen anything above 70mph or so my chest felt like a sail, and that was with a leather jacket on. Then after i installed my windscreen i can ride 85mph with one hand and didn't have that "sail" feeling anymore. You will get a better idea when the weather warms up, you will have less clothes on and won't be so "tight". Glad you got one you will like it.
