I realize as a new rider, a lot of the pogo stick action in turns is from me upsetting the suspension fron poor throttle control. Still, I was wondering what everyone has their front and back preload set to, your weight, and your riding style. I'm sitting on stock settings right now.

I found the fronts too harsh in the stock positions. My rear fluctuates if I have a passenger obviously or my backpack for shopping around.

I run the same setting as you ashesofanother and I've notice it gives the bike noticeable stability compared to stock setting.

Does that mean you are at a 1 in front ashes? Btw I did throttle cable adjust and I feel like a pro riding now. No more noob choppiness or hopping around in turns like a mofo.

I'll be honest, been a while since I adjusted it, I'll go back to the operators manual in the morning and check.

im 210 lbs and have rear shock all the way soft and front end at 1.5 from full soft. I ride on bumpy roads and was concerned I would need softer spring but this fixed bump compliance.

Just make sure your spools, if installed, aren't hitting your can.

After riding my GSXS750 down the freeways and getting random vibrations, I decided to stiffen my rear suspension and noticed an improvement (currently just one notch above stock so level 4), I've also been adjusting the front to be stiffer, still not found the proper settings yet. Odd thing is the bike only gets jumpy around 70-80mph vary rarely 40mph but still there from time to time. I also wonder if the wheels are out of balance for my bike...

I am about the same settings as you. 2 in front and stock in back in case the girl wants to ride. I will admit I've wondered if my ride is out of alignment as well. Unfortunately there are no flat roads close to my house (oh the humanity). I'm thinking about getting those preload knobs for quick fork adjustments. I am hopeless with the rear.

Hansum what did you do to your throttle cables?

Hansum what did you do to your throttle cables? I removed the excessive travel from zero throttle to where the engine finally starts to rev up. There is an adjuster right next to the front brake fluid reservoir. The throttle is set now so that as soon as you twist it the throttle opens.

I also just set my suspension, havent gotten to put it through the wringer yet but it seems to be working well, I went 2 and 1/2 rotations on the stiff side. and lowered the rear about 3 notches seems to be working well
