I'm due for some new skins and am wondering what people are running for replacements? I am a sport rider but I do a lot of riding, Manitoba is flat and straight and it screw's with tires when we do a day trip a few times per week. I am an hour away from there where the terrain changes to the Canadian shield aka rocks twisty's and hills. This then requires a decent sport tire for my true style of riding I am open to suggestions.

Michelin pilot power 3 is a good tire! I ran a set at a track day with them being slightly flat spotted do to most of my riding is straight line roads, they performed well though!

Thanks I am going to go with the Pilots, I read reviews for touring and there great. But I also read reviews where sport guys didn't like them at all, found them skiddish and found cornering to be unpredictable. Trying to get a good balance I have a 6000 km ride planned this June but getting from Ontario to B.C. I think the 3's would be toast before I even get to the mountain riding, comments?

I had a set of Angel GTs on my Bandit 12 before I got the S750 - amazing tyres. Really predictable, great grip and wore well too.

Had my bike for almost a year now and have 12k miles. The battlax sucks...I tried the michellin road 3's and they weren't soft enough, bounced over every rock in a turn. I'm on my second Dunlop Q3 rear tire and first Q3 front. I absolutley love the Q3. It's soft, but not too soft. Very much a confidnece inspiring tire.

I work at a multiline powersports dealership in Waterloo Iowa, DR PowerSports, I've seen and sold every big brand tire under the sun. Well, when one of our representatives came and brought someone from Shinko he gave me a huge deal on two tires, basically paid me to remove the Michelins I had on there. I wasn't to keen on Shinko because they don't have the best reputation out there, but let me tell you that these tires are the BEST tires I have ever rode on. Typically, I can't tell a huge difference with tires, but even when these Shinko's were freshly put on, they still felt more sticky than the Michelins! I was blown away, honestly. Now that they are broke in they're even better and I haven't been more confident around tight corners than I am with these tires.

Battleax T30 touring tire. 1000cc sport toured guys rave about these tires. Great life, good power handling and confident cornering. I might get some for my bike after I'm done with these S21's.

siriuslyandrew I was gonna get the Pirelli Angel GTs but settled on the better priced and great reviews of the Battlax T30 Evos. Should get more than 2x the mileage of the Battlax 016s that came on the bike (squeezed 5k out of them) and from what I've read they handle well enough for knee down cornering. BTW, my knee has never made contact, but I keep getting closer

I'm getting a little squared on my S20 Evo rear which has almost 7000km on it now (which will easily outlast the BT016 by quite a bit) so I'll probably be looking for a T30 Evo rear before the end of the season. My S21 front is still basically brand new though, so it'll be a while before I look to replace it unless I get a blowout or something.

siriuslyandrew I plan to install the T30s this weekend. I'll post an update afterward and will post on mileage as I go. Be safe on your trip! You might want to add a gel saddle cover?

Be safe on your trip! You might want to add a gel saddle cover? Thanks a bunch! I've considered it. If I'm going to spend money on a seat mod I'll just take it to my local upholstery shop and have them add some comfort foam. I can handle a slightly higher seat height, can easily flat foot as is.

I put on the Dunlop Q3. What a great tire. I ditched the original before the break in period. These are a solid performer.
