Hi guys, Has anyone found a steering damper kit that works for our bike? I've asked hyperpro and scotts. Neither have any for our bikes. (not that they realize fit, anyway). Anyone have experience with dampers on other suzukis like SV, bandit, gsxr? I feel like something has to fit!! (Without making custom brackets ofc). Anything?? (info, suggestions, comments, etc) Also - word of warning. I bought renthal bars for my bike, and couldn't get the right controls all the way to the end of the bar. Not enough slack on the throttle cable.. This also means no risers

If you lift the tank you can reposition the cable and get some more slack out it. Then again in a longer cable is easy to get.
I've never used a dampener on a bike. Have you noticed a reason to need it?

Thanks Asheofanother! I didn't realize I could get more slack that way.. I'll have to revisit that as it still annoys me! If I remember correctly the brake line was also a problem. I may just swap to steel braided lines and a longer cable to make me extra happy From time to time I ride at the track.. and it helps a lot there. For example if the front wheel gets light and starts to wobble on corner exit, or wheelie hills etc. I also ride through bad / uneven / baldy paved / etc roads (NJ, NY, PA). Sometimes the tire gets caught in a break in the pavement or against a bridge-road separation etc and it causes a bit of instability. Its very scary at high speeds.. and my understanding is that a damper will greatly help with this. I also seem to have perhaps another issue.. Sometimes i get a small to medium wobble that I can't attribute to any one thing. I don't know if its my alignment or my balancing could be off (I changed and balanced the rear tire myself). It happens more at high speeds and usually always induced by a road imperfection.

I would check your alignment. I don't have any "wobbles" when my front lifts or over bumps. Also make sure your forks are setup the same. I've gotten a death wobble before and wrecked. It's a scary thing.

Hit a coyote last night and rolled over his ass. When the front came down I got the death wobble and just had to ride it out for a good 10 scary seconds. A dampener would have slowed it way down.

What kind of bars are those speedy? Universal fitting, look like clips-ons (a bit) and nice and adjustable, although the bracket for the steering damper meant I had to push them forward a tad more than I wanted. Used to now and I've found them to be very comfortable. Silver Universal 22mm 7/8" Handlebars Motorcycle Sport Bikes

How do they compare or differ from the factory bar? I love my bike and all but I'd prefer to have something a bit more aggressive! I bought a clubman bar to see how it would be but they hit the the corner of the of the fairing for the headlight! Mucho disappointed

Mucho disappointed I couldn't tell you, the previous owner had Renthal bars fitted and I certainly find them more comfortable than them. I had no problem with the standard fairing as I had them angled towards me a bit more and adjusted their width. Save

Hello everyone, I'm the new guy from Norway. I want to get steering stabilizer on top of the bars as speedy has. But I have a steering lock directly in the middle where mounting bracket should mount. I saw speedy's pictures and I just cant understand how??? The bike is 2016 gsr750. Thanks for any help.
