Since the GSX S is supposed to be pretty similar to the GSXR, has anyone thought about trying to put the gixxer fairings on the naked bike? I was just wondering if it could even be done.

Anything can be done with enough fab work and skill. The question is would it be worth it? You're looking at having to add mounting tabs where there aren't any and probably some fiberglass work. The good thing about this bike is its a steel frame so welding mounting tabs would be easier than it would on an aluminum frame. It would be a time consuming and interesting project for sure. I think I would just buy a used GSX-R as a second bike before I would try to use GSX-R fairings on this bike.
I was seriously kicking around the idea of a single sided swing-arm swap but I just cant see having the bike down that long. I'd rather be riding than doing fab work to be honest. I might give it a go when I buy another bike but that wont be for another year or so.

The whole point of this bike is that it doesnt have fairings, why would you want to put them on. Leave it the way it is or buy a gsxr IMO

Oh for anyone interested, if you haven't already done it, our bike non-tuned will go 155 and that's all its got in it. I don't even want to go that fast anything over 100 will most likely result in death in a crash. That is why I opted for a street fighter style bike instead of a hayabusa or similar that does 200 lol

The fastest I've had mine up to was 121 indicated but I was coming up on a mustang really quick and let off. The twisties I ride I never get past 80mph. 95% of the time I'm between 40 & 60mph. I have way more fun going 60mph in the twisties vs 120mph+ in a straight line.

Yeah I meant to say the speed limiter is 155 it literally won't go any faster.
