Hey guys,
So following the installation of my bar end mirrors I recently noticed that my right grip vibrates a seriously wicked amount compared to the left side. Like, 3,500+rpm = mirror is useless. My left side mirror is fine pretty much all the way up to redline for distortion via vibration, but my right side is pretty well useless as it is just a blurred image immediately after take off.
Any idea why one side is so much worse than the other side? I'm coming up on my valve check service soon, I think another 4,000km. Think there's any possibility that something is a little off in there that will get corrected during this service?
The motor sounds fine, I don't hear any abnormal ticking that wasn't there since day 1. It revs smoothly as it always has. The oil is only about 4,000km old, so I don't think I should be looking to replace it just yet.
This could be completely normal behaviour too, I'm not sure. This is my first I4 motorcycle, but the vibration could have always been there and I never noticed it until I got the bar end mirrors on. And it is a difference I can feel if I 'white knuckle grip' both sides, my right-hand starts to go numb where my left-hand is fine.
Any tips or ideas or whatever would be appreciated, as usual!

The bars are the problem. Not your engine, so don't worry about that. The bars have weights in the ends to dampen them and prevent vibration. I would double check that they are centered on the tree and that everything is tight.

I have aftermarket aluminum bars that are thick walled. As far as I know they don't have weights in them.
I'll double check for center and ensure they're clamped down properly. Probably just something I'll have to live with.

You could try to dampen the bars. I would also check you levers and make sure they are not shaking due to them being loose. You could try a bar snake or sand. Make sure you bake the sand first tho to get the moisture out.

The stock bars are garbage, pure and simple. I get vibrations too. Good g to an aftermarket bar is the best option so far. Our bars are much narrower than some of the bikes I've seen with moto x style bars, I had trouble in the past finding bars that wl fit I even ruined a set of pro tapers trying to get them to fit. I have another set coming in a day or two well see how they do.
