Well here’s the scoop guys I regularly ride from Massachusetts to Upstate Ny and it has now taken a damper in that the local and state pd have decided to crack down on loud exhaust including the danmoto on my gsxs but I am just completely unwilling to go as far as to go back to stock and lose the sound that I love. Do you guys have any ideas on exhaust that may be like the danmoto xg1 and be deep but not as loud? I’m down to try whatever I can to reduce without having to eliminate the law is 14 decibels 10 ft away is the max. Hoping I can figure it out or I’m keeping the bike home in mass.

15 decibels above ambient sound in the area from 15 feet away is what I’m reading all the cop said was too loud

They would run off too much city income.

Even if they're illegal, is this law enforced? In my state down under, technically ALL aftermarket exhausts are illegal yet so many riders use them (Max loudness is 94Db, which I don't think any aftermarket exhaust would pass). Used to have a yoshi on a different bike without a baffle and was stupidly loud. Never got pulled over however.

Yeah they are enforcing it pretty heavily now with checkpoints as well as visual checks at inspections that you have a baffled exhaust been asking around about it everyone riding is pretty pissed about it

Good thing our bikes have an amazing intake sound! I rarely get to go hard enough to hear that without going extra-legal speeds
