Has there been any new information in regards to an ecu reflash for the 2018s? It seems impossible find any information online.

PC is certainly and option when they get some maps, but I would like to be able to have the timing retard removed and the air injections system also. Fueling is just one part of it.

You could just reach out to a couple of the popular tuners like 2WheelDynoWorks & VCycleNut.
The aftermarket for our bikes is fairly small, so it takes some extra searching for stuff it seems.

vcyclenut is a badass on the H2sx tunes. I'm sure he could do one for ya. usually he just asks you to send your pcm to him and you get it back in a few days. not sure what all he can do on these gsx-s tho. I have the pcv and autotuner on my bike and it works pretty well. once I have a tuner look and adjust my afr map ill be making a post on here with the map for everyone.

I had a sputtering problem with my PC on my 2018. It sometimes would sputter when accelerating lightly, like in traffic. I removed it and everything is normal again. Would love to put it back, but not without fixing this issue in the low rpm

I talked with Vcycle, he unfortunately can't do ECU flashing by mail for our bikes, would have to be in person in Florida. I'm assuming that once someone goes to him in person with the GSX-S, he'd be able to do a mail order tune for future bikes.
Anyway, I just shipped off my ECU to 2WheelDynoWorks (thanks for the suggestion sp3ak!). They are going to maximize power, disable fuel cut/fix throttle snatch, remove emissions-related tuning, lower radiator fan engagement temperature from 215 to 205 (so it runs cooler), and more. Pretty excited to get it back. Took advantage of the Memorial Day weekend discount so it's $275 instead of $315.
Will report back with results. My bike is a 2018 non-ABS with a Yoshi Alpha T slip-on and a K&N air filter. Other power-related mods are -1 front sprocket and a G2Ergo Throttle Tamer throttle tube, which maybe I won't need anymore after the ECU flash.

I don't know if you saw this, but Vcyclenut has some good info about decel pop: Popping on Decel and block off plates is something I get asked about ALL THE TIME No, you don't have to install block off plates People think popping on decal is an indication something is wrong, It is not. Let me explain Every stock bike with an ais or pair system on it pops on decel from the factory. This is 99% of bikes being made today, an FZ07 being an exception. You just can not hear it because of the catalytic converter and the stock canister. These systems are placed on the bike by the factory to burn off any unburnt fuel on decel. It is completely normal to have unburnt fuel when the throttle is closed. This is why they added these systems to clean up emissions. They do not effect power output, they do not effect the actual air fuel ratio when combustion in the cylinder takes place and most importantly they are not bad for the bike. If they were the factory would not add these systems. Our bikes are fuel injected and what the air fuel ratio is when the throttle is closed is irrelevant to how the bike runs when the throttle is opened at all. It is possible to get the perfect amount of fuel during closed throttle that there is minimal popping but this is highly variable and the same tune on 2 different bikes can cause almost no popping on one and lots of popping on the other. To limit the popping as much as possible you want block off plates. The popping can not occur if you do not have fresh air getting into the system either from the AIS or from an exhaust leak Even with the AIS disabled from the flash the AIS valve will leak some and pop

I might give this a try It's a pity to not have it installed after paying for it lol... I noticed a big loss of power when I took it out to be honest, but it was hard to drive when it would choke and surge at low rpm

Got the flashed ECU back from 2WheelDynoWorks, couldn't be happier. Thanks for the recommendation, sp3ak! Bike is most definitely faster. The decel noise is amazing now - I'll have to get a video at some point. Throttle response is way better. Less snatchy on and off the throttle, but I think I'll still need my Throttle Tamer tube. Idle is nice and smooth as well, no more mild hunting with the Yoshi.
