Have had my 2018 for about a week now. One thing I noticed is that the bike has stalled a few times when starting off, even after being warmed up a bit.
I know this bike has Low RPM Assist and I can feel it kick in when I'm slowly releasing the clutch lever and not giving any throttle input. But a few times when staring off while giving it a little gas the bike has stalled. Now, I'm making sure I give it enough gas as I do with all bikes I've owned without Low RPM Assist. Seems kind of annoying at times because I would prefer the Low RPM Assist to either work well consistently or go away altogether. LOL
Just wondering if this occasional stalling issue is a normal quirk with the Low RPM Assist feature or if I may need to raise my idle speed. Any and all feedback welcome.

You get used to it. I did the same thing at first, kind of using the assist and kind of not using it at the same time. I only use mine pulling out of my gravel driveway. It’s awesome for that.

I can't imagine a situation where I'd not want to take off as fast as possible I think I'd still rather use throttle control than trusting it. I'd assume it's more a fallback rather than something you actively try to use or at least that's how I'll use it personally.

Yeah mine does too. But it’s an in-line 4 so you need to rev the pants off it to pull away quickly anyway.

MY dad is the head man of MSF here in Wyoming and taught me something with every bike i ever ride even testing or a buddies, whatever. first thing is always get a feel for the clutch. be in a lot or side street. and from a dead stop release the clutch out slow and once you've done it all the way stop and do it again. i do it shortly for easy torquey bike. ive done up to 30 min of this to get a feel for the clutch. i haven't stalled a bike in over two years just from taking the time to get good clutch control without any throttle.
