Hi All -
Does anyone have any experience with heated grips on their GSX-S750? Recently I had to ride in a 20F-35F degrees cold weather and it was almost unbearable for my hands. Since then I've been doing some research and it all points to heated grips as the best solution for extremely cold days. I was wondering if you guys have any experience with it and if there's anything specific I should know when looking to buy heated grips for my GSX-S750!
Thanks!

I think you will find this topic has quite a few threads. IMHO I quite like the KOSO Appollo heated grips. They don't have a large control unit that sits on the handlebars but has it built in to the left grip, very neat. They are a bit expensive, especially to ship from Canada or USA to here in the UK. I also think, I know others will disagree, but for me, good handguards and heated grips go together. What's the point of having toasty inner fingers if the backs of them are freezing with the windchill. They may not look in keeping with the sports naked bike look, but I'd take comfort over looks.

Thanks, I'll take a look! I am actually located in the US, so I might be able to get a better deal on those I tend to agree with you on the hand guards part for both of your statements - absolutely needed alongside the heated grips, but not really the naked bike type accessory.

I've not used heated grips before but I have Hotwired heated gloves and I love them. I have circulation issues with my hands so they get cold faster than usual and the gloves are great. Downside is you have to wire yourself to the bike each time you can get on. But during the cold season I ride once a week at most so it's not a big deal.
Guess it depends on what type of riding you do and for how long. If you're on and off the bike alot during your riding the grips may be more convenient paired with a quality winter glove.

So I ended up buying the KOSO Apollo heated grips. I found a good deal in Amazon here in the US and got them for $100. I am about to get them installed these days and will let you guys know how it's working for me. Thanks for your help!

Heated grips are awesome but they have one drawback - they are a bit firm and don't provide any cushioning like a good gel grip does. If that doesn't bother you then go for it. I ride down to -1C/30F with my battery-powered heated gloves and do quite well. I also have enormous snowmobile handguards to keep the wind off.

So after about two months after installing my heated grips I'm ready to leave some feedback. The feeling is AMAZING and I couldn't be happier with my change. The Koso Apollo grips come with 5 temperature levels and I'll share with y'all I turn them on even on warm days, I just like the feeling of the heat coming through my summer gloves. Light rain - no problem, turn on the heated grips and your gloves will dry in no time. I read lots of reviews of people complaining that you will eventually forget to turn them off and they'll drain your battery. Yes, but I found a solution for this problem by connecting the cables to my "starter" fuse, that way every time I shut off the bike grips are off too. One of the best investments I've made so far. I bought waterproof winter gloves that are amazing as well, but I really don't need them at this point and don't use them. What I don't like about winter gloves is how bulky they are and you just don't have the same sense of feeling holding the grips, so I would definitely recommend the nice summer/fall gloves and heated grips combination. Were they easy enough to install? I heard someone mention the oxford ones aren't exactly to size, and they're on the top of my list. Was also looking into the genuine GSX-S1000 grip warmers, but the instructions mention something we don't have.
This does seem better, as it connects through the headlight, which would make it less prone to killing the battery I'd imagine.
100% feel the same way with gloves, I much prefer the summer glove feel. Had winter gloves that were well padded, and didn't like how it changed how the bike felt for me in terms of gripping the handle bars. Felt a bit restrictive.
