Looks like it only effects the new body style 2018.
I would say to call a dealer and make an appointment, make sure they have the part in stock. Alot of times manufacturers issue a recall but don't send out parts to the dealers until after they issued the recall. Some cases we don;t even know about a recall until a customer shows up with a letter. I am only telling you this as you said you have to drive a long way.
Also i would suggest getting it taken care of right away as it does involve fuel leaking on a hot motor. Which could have you ending up having a real bad day.
After reading the letter it doesn't appear to be a very hard job maybe a .5 hr All that has to be done is lift the tank and remove fuel pump discard old o-ring and reinstall.
***** A big piece of advice try to leave as little gas in your tank as possible when you bring your bike in. Techs hate the fact when they have to deal with fuel recalls etc. people always bring their bike or ski in with full tanks of gas. Then you have to drain and re fill it etc. just take more time. let us know how it turns out.

And the 2017 UK GSX-S750 I am having mine done this coming Saturday.
The motorcycle dealer said turn up with only 2 to 3 notches of fuel in the tank. My letter said it take about 1 hour to do the work.

I had mine done last week. Took pretty much exactly an hour including a brief test ride by the tech.
I didn’t think about fuel and wasn’t advised on it so rolled up with almost a full tank and nothing was said. Probably getting cursed at behind closed doors now lol.
