![]() ![]() ![]() Due to aching wrists and shoulders, i got the SW Motech 'Bar Back' risers. These are 28mm versions because as you know the bars are 28 mm in the middle and taper down at the ends.At least they do on this 2018 model. i didn't move the cables ![]() , they are tight, once complete, (they weren't exactly slack standard!)but I will consider a longer brake cable later. Its a different bike. 32mm up and 20mm back or is it the other way around, anyway its also altered my seating position for the better, because the standard seat causes my bony backside some problems so i had an old tourtechs seat cushion which I installed and covered it with some leather. (this tourtech cushion is a glorified sponge! in that,it is totally, unrainproof. so the leather cover gives it some level of waterproofing, should it rain. Maybe worth looking into if you are in the market for a cushion- i mean ask is it waterproof!. Next item is a screen, but i have my 1st service week after next, so money is tight. ![]() ![]() ![]()

I have those same risers. I am able to ride for 2 hours or so before my rotator cuffs hurt. I had to lift the throttle cable up a bit because it started sticking at full lock. Throttle stick at full lock in a parking lot has lawsuit written all over it.

I just ordered these for my 2015 750. I'm only 5'7" and have short arms, therefore making me lean forward just a bit much than I would like to. So, I am hoping these will bring me more to a upright riding position. I ordered the 7/8" ones from revzilla. After ordering them I noticed that it says that they do not fit my bike. The tracking says they are to be delivered on Monday, so I will see if they fit or not. I sure hope so.

Let us know how it works out. I sure will. for a before reference here is a picture of my seated position currently... It's not bad... but due to my short arms I am leaning just a bit more than I want to.

I got them installed. Here are some pictures of them. I will get some pictures of me on it when my wife gets home to see my riding position difference... I love them. Very nice quality. My only issue is when I turn my bars to the left and give it some throttle, it sticks. It's making the throttle cables too tight. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to fix that?

The 28mm ones in black are apparently discontinued, bummer. Or rather, not readily available. Silver ones are on closeout on Revzilla, which leads me to believe they're no longer making them.

I just installed these on my 2018, there's no way the throttle cables are long enough. I guess maybe if I really slacken them? I don't think anyone makes longer throttle cables for 2018, at least not yet. I really like the new riding position though, much better. Need to figure out the throttle situation. All other cables and lines are fine.
Anyone know of longer cables available?

Ok nevermind. I got them to work, but only by rotating the bars a bit. Throttle is still loose on right steering lock. Can't wait to ride with the new setup!

I've heard of a reason that the forward lean on bikes is it's meant to give you better control of the bike. With those that have a more neutral handlebar, do you notice much of an impact on the handling or your confidence?

With those that have a more neutral handlebar, do you notice much of an impact on the handling or your confidence? No doubt that forward lean will give you better control, for sure. However, I only use my bike for commuting (mostly) and comfort trumps performance in that case. Also, these bar risers don't change the riding position enough to affect performance significantly. On my old FZ6, I added similar barback risers and there was no impact to performance/handling. Slightly different bike though.
