Yeah I literally, last night, dumped the money on the Carbon GP. The sound blew my mind and after reading the discoloration problem on some peoples JISU pushed me to the Carbon. Honestly though, for the $173CAD I spent, it's better than the $1000+CAD Akra, Yoshi, Two Bros, Arrow ETC. cans by a huge margin. Just because I can buy 5 of the Carbon GP's for the cost of one of the other brands. I've seen some issues with the carbons too. The carbon burning or the rubber mound melting. But seems like everyone I talk to hasn't had an issue. Maybe it was an older issue that they fixed. I'm looking forward to getting mine tho.

I have put 2800 miles on mine and it hasn't changed at all, accept the sound has become louder.

And it's been a long time since I read about the issues, so those issues were probably talked about that much longer ago! But come'on. For the price what can we really expect? If it holds for a couple years it's worth it on every front. And that sound!

So I got my package! It arrived yesterday, and I picked it up today and installed it. The actual muffler looked good. Looking at it up close, the rivets are clean, the welds look nice. Overall I'm impressed. I mean its basically some fiberglass wrapped in probably fake carbon fibre, but it looks the part. And it's light - compared to the stock exhaust it's super light. (sorry for the shit photo, bad lighting in my living room) (basement suite problems) Install was a breeze. I had the stock can in my hands in no more than 2 minutes. I was shocked by how heavy that bastard was. It also doesn't fit in the carbon GP box so it's just sitting on the floor for now. The hardest part of installing the GP was getting the unbent band to sit properly around the can AND have the holes line up properly. I bent it around the can to get the right shape, then took it off and mounted it to the bike without the can in so it could hold its shape better. In the mean time I fitted the mid pipe and clamp and got the springs ready. After I got that taken care of I undid the strap and got the can fitted to the mid pipe, then got the band around it. It was pretty easy to line everything up after I let the strap hold its shape for a bit. Made sure everything was fitting properly then buttoned it all down. Total time was no more than 15 minutes. If I had to do it again, this entire process can be done in 5 minutes easy. And it looks fantastic. I was on the fence about whether I'd like how it would look but after getting it fitted on - I love it. It fits the bike perfectly. So how does it sound? Well it's fucking loud, that's for sure. I'm almost completely sure it is in the obnoxiously loud range. Sitting at a red light my ears start to hurt, but once it gets to ~3500rpm it quiets down. At highway speed I used to only hear the engine under all the wind noise, but now I can hear a good bit of exhaust note mixed in. Give it the beans and it sounds fantastic - it really sings through the revs. On decel it pops and gurgles and hits all the right notes, downshifting has never been more enjoyable. The actual sound is beautiful. I love it, it is just too damn loud for me. I was an idiot though, when I was pricing everything out last month I had the cart setup with the baffle and exhaust. But when I went to order I forgot to add the baffle and only ordered the exhaust, so now I will be paying $15 separate shipping on the $8 baffle. Right now, as it all stands; I love the sound, and I love how it looks. I'm just a little upset I need to wear earplugs on my short commute to work at 50 kph. Once I get the baffle, I'm sure I'll lose some of the awesome popping and gurgling but if it drops the level as much as I hope, then it will be perfect.

Looks great! Post a sound clip, would love to hear how it sounds. I ran into the same "fun" with strap you did. A bit of gentle persuasion and it came together.

I tried to get some decent clips with my phone, but my phone doesn't know the difference between loud, louder and "omg I'm deaf." All the 3 clips sounded the same on my computer headset. Stock, none and GP. Edit :: youtu.be/63111jNnALcI uploaded my carbon clip just so people could hear. It was filmed on a galaxy s6 edge so pay mind that the volume is capped around 85dB and I feel like this is much louder when revved and while riding.

siriuslyandrew, installed my gp tonight, you're absolutely right it's way to loud. I immediately went online and bought the db killer. Hope it helps. It rattles my skull at stop lights. But once you get going its not bad. Definately turns heads

I went for a nice long ride to find the tunnels, holy shit does it ever sound amazing though. Still loud, still waiting for my DB Killer -- but still love the sound ESPECIALLY in the tunnels hah. I'll be redoing the sound clip when I get the DB Killer, someone commented on my YouTube clip requesting it, so when I get everything in I'll make sure I put it together and get a decent clip. EDIT :: After seeing ThatboyHans3n's clip, I might go back to the tunnels and put a flyby clip together in there

So I couldn't get the sound difference to come across in the video. But it is a pretty big difference. It still sounds really good. It doesn't pop as much, but still does coming off the throttle in high rpm's. It doesn't stab my eardrums at stop lights anymore. Quite honestly I miss it lol!!! It'll be useful tho seeing how I leave for work at 5am and live in a townhome lol.
