I changed my oil. A normal service interval. But after 700 miles I lost half of a quart! Say what?? As far as I could tell, everything was perfect. How could this happen? So I did research. The only explaination... "oil evaporation". A new term for me!! Apparently, all oil has a burn off point (makes sense) where the lighter elements in the oil vaporize due to to extreme heat, leaving behind the heavier elements and changing the effective viscosity of the oil.. for the worse. Its a bad thing. The vapor gets sucked out of the breather, burned in the combustion chamber and blown out the exhaust. Its such a fine amount, you'd never see it or smell it. So that's the conclusion. But is it oil evap? Or did I suffer sudden engine damage? youtu.be/xpEe_A5IynA

I've been rocking AmsOil for a few thousand miles now, no complaints, and no sign of oil leak/evap.

Yeah I heard amsoil is the truth I always wanted to to try but never did. I use Suzuki 10w40 full synthetic racing oil in all my bike and I love how smooth the shifting is. I know Suzuki doesn’t own a oil refinery it’s produce by another company that slaps the Suzuki logo on it but I like it. I think it’s shell rotella but not certain.

Suzuki's oil is made by "Kendall"
I use valvoline synthetic motorcycle oil and a oem filter. Never lost oil to evap and it's hot down here in the south with that 200% humidity... sp3ak you know what i am talking about.
