First off I'm new to the sport bike scene, and I made my first purchase..... 2015 gsxs 750. I love the bike but I got a couple questions you guys might be able to help me out with. I've got this weird problem when i let off the throttle in a low rpm the bike will jerk for a few seconds then eventually stable itself out. I was thinking that the stock muffler has to much back pressure and its causing the bike to jerk when off the throttle. Other then that, the bike runs flawless. Secondly, I'm about to order a new slip on for it and was wondering what people recommended. I want something that is loud with the gp tone but also something that isn't going to drive me crazy on long hauls. Also, the damn mirrors on the bike drives me nuts! I can't stand the way they look/function. Are any of you guys running aftermarket mirrors that look/function better then OEM? Last but not least, the wind seems to be a big issue for me while riding above 45 mph because I'm 6'2 with it being a naked bike i don't know if a taller windscreen would look good or not. But any windscreen that wont look bad and keep the wind off me would be awesome, it gets pretty bad on the highway going 70+. ANY INPUT/HELP WITH MY QUESTIONS WOULD BE GREAT. I love the bike and looking forward to getting all the small kinks that drive me insane worked out. Thanks in advance. Cheers.

What's up Tyler! Easy ones first. Lots of windscreen options out there for you. Mirrors also are everywhere for our bikes. Check out the appearance section for all of the write ups about both and links to ones we've bought. Fyi, bars are 7/8 and mirror mount is a female thread m10x1.25.
Slip on mufflers are also everywhere. You'll find a bunch of threads in the exhaust section. Videos and all! It really depends on how deep your wallet is too. A great mid grade brand is danmoto. They've treated a bunch of us well.
Now on to the tough one, which we'll need some more info from you. Jerking at closed throttle. If it's the typical suzuki 4 wup wup wup, that's normal. The bikes sound like they have a crazy cam under minimal load at low rpm. A lose chain will amplify this, a lot. Now for the questions. What rpm are you mostly noticing it. What speed and gear. What's the engine temp i.e. how many bars. Is the clutch engaged or released?

I notice the jerk in low rpms usually in 1st or 2nd gear. When it does it, its usually below 2200 rpms without have the clutch pulled. the second i grab the clutch, it goes away and rides super smooth while having the clutch pressed in. Also, I have noticed that while its jerking and i give it a little throttle it jerks pretty hard, one time and immediately takes off. if you keep the bike above 2500 rpms it rides flawless. best way to explain it is, if your riding down a hill in 1st gear approaching a stop sign and let off the throttle while its in low rpm without engaging the clutch it will jerk until you grab the clutch. kinda hard to explain, but it will jerk pretty good if you give it throttle in 1st or 2nd while its in a low rpm. It may be normal, I know that these bikes dont really like super low rpm riding but like I said its my first bike and has less than 100 miles on it. thanks for your help, looking forwward to hearing back from you. Cheers.

It really sounds like your chain is loose.

New doesn't always mean good. Had a truck with 50 miles on it at my shop with a loose shock from the factory. My bikes triple tree wasn't setup properly from the dealer and my battery was loose. It never hurts to check the simple things.

Your throttle, does it have excessive rotation before actuating the carbs? Just thinking out loud

okay I will check it out. I noticed where you commented on another members post on the tech section his subject was something like "low speed shudder." I'm having the exact problem he is and he does a little better job explaining it then I do. Lol. But thanks a lot for your help, I will report back after evaluating the chain. Cheers.

Yeah, I read threw it. I took my bike for a ride, it does get "choppy" in that rpm range. I guess I don't run into it, I pull my clutch before it happens. I do not believe anything is wrong with your bike, but a trip to the dealer while under warranty may not be a bad idea. I prefer working on my own rides, but like I said, warranty. This will most likely be the only time you'll ever hear me say those words.

It's a normal shudder, mine does it as well. I usually pull the clutch in before i hit 2k. I think it is a map tunning error, as the bike has the throttle plates closed no fuel coming in and the engine is trying to burn the left over fuel off while decelerating and trying not to stall. Keep in mind these bikes aren't made to be ridden poking around at 1K-2K rpm. lol

From the dealer, my spark plugs were all loose. Like finger tight. The bike chugged and the pipes started turning black. Super lean condition. I even noticed that after riding to work 7 miles there would be some oil dripping out of the vent tube. That's blowby! Pressurized crankcase caused by the loose plugs. The only reason I discovered the loose plugs is because I wanted to see what color they were... as soon as I put the wrench on them they came loose with no effort. They were scary white. I tightened 'em to spec and it was like having a new bike. The exhaust note got deeper. Mean sounding. Gas mileage got worse! Which was a good sign I was at 55-57, now I'm always at 45-47, and what a difference in power. And btw, my chain was way loose as well. Clutch lever was all wrong. Had to make quite a few adjustments. I have no chugging at any RPM. Let us know what you find.

hi do the o2 eliminator mod the bike pulls way better low down and from standing start as the o2 sensor leans the fueling out at low rpm shutting the fuel on and of for emissions reasons that causes the surge or lurching you are talking about,,
