Has anyone thought of advancing or letting the exhaust valve be a little bit more open?
I've been playing around with it and I feel like when i do advance it a little bit the engine feels less restricted. but it could be just my brain saying I did something, therefore the motorcycle is running better.

I eliminated the system all together other than still having the butterfly valve in the pipe! At default it will stay open at all times, also installed the healtech servo delete. I personally feel I might have lost a little low end grunt but other than that she still runs like a raped ape! You will also have a deeper exhaust note through the hole rpm range instead of just at the top end.

wait so on idle the valve is open then when you give it throttle it closes and opens?

No at idle it's slightly open and gradually opens as you open the throttle! What I ment is when you take the system out the valve stays open all the time

I completely removed the servo, cables, and took a grinder to the brackets on the exhaust. I used a nut to hold the butterfly valve in the open position and added a servo eliminator to get rid of the warning light. ![](//storage.proboards.com/6366382/thumbnailer/wzYKi2t3I2lLtU6sPMYx.JPG)

Deleted the whole thing myself also, cut the whole thing out and welded up the holes. Also deleted the o2 sensor, pair valves and catalytic converter. Attachments:![](//storage.proboards.com/6366382/thumbnailer/cWHqPTeLHJbNijLe0tee.jpg)

I really couldn't remove mine because I'm currently really broke reason being I'm starting in a new career. Couldn't afford the healtech delete and couldn't find a grinder to grind it out. But I did play with advancing it. I noticed a significant increase of power (not dyno comfirmed) in the middle to top of the rev-range. Before I felt that once I got in the middle rev-range the engine felt restricted hard to explain but the engine vibrated a certain way that made it felt restricted. (Or I'm just imagining everything) It was a very easy thing to do and not very invasive so I just played with it. Also I removed that snorkle on the intake so I don't know if that plays a part.

Anyone know if pulling the wire from the ECU stops the FI light from coming on? Seems like all the gsxr guys have to do is pull a wire from the harness and it stops the FI light after the set valve selete.

Yeah just so everyone knows, on the gsx-r they can pull/cut the brown wire with black runner and it will remove the FI light after set velve removal. Tried it on my bike and it wouldnt start at all ![(rofl)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/rofl.png) The wire indeed does trace back to the set valve but it must make a few stops before it hits the ECU. Coupled the wire back together and she starts okay now, guess ill just pay for the module.
