So I stopped into a shop that has been highly recommended by many in my area. I talked to the owner/"Dyno Jesus" about my bike and what the possibilities are. He pulled my ECU and read what the factory had it set as. With a couple clicks on his computer and a call to Woolich Racing his eyes lit up! Supposedly there is a 6 deg decline in 1st thru 4th gears... Not sure what the means but he said there is a "ton of power" that is not being used to its full potential. Within the next few days there will be a code written to dyno tune my bike. I'm being told that it will be the first one in the states to be done! Super jacked for some "oh crap, too much throttle" power!!

Hi all, Numbers are in... With the ECU flashed and reprogrammed this is what we came up with... Stock: Hp 94.89 Tq 53.22 After tune: O2 sensor cancelled Exhaust valve opened (all the time) Hp 99.89 Tq 55.40 These weren't the numbers I hoped for looking at the charts HOWEVER after riding it... It's a huge performance upgrade! I CAN feel the slight power gains, BUT MOST notable is the smoothness in acceleration when rolling the throttle on. I will be doing one more thing to increase the HP. The air box can be modified to increase air intake. Talking to Nels (the dyno guy) he says that he's done it to similar bikes and gained 4+ more HP. That will get it to the magical number of 100+ hp. Once again, I won't be chasing down any supersports on the track but I will be holding my own on the streets! Happy riding!!

Did you ever end up modifying the airbox?

Did you ever end up modifying the airbox? I second that No I haven't got around to it yet... I'm going to change out the sprockets and when I have it in with my guy I'll probably do it then.

Are you going one down in the front? Two up in the back? Speedo healer? I've been toying with the idea of messing with the gearing as well.

Yes -1/+2... Won't need a healer as it can be done with the ECU... Taking it back to my dyno-extraordinair! He can just make the adjustments through the programming.

Main not sure when I'll do it yet. Kinda want to wait until they need replacements but we'll see. Might get the itch sooner

My guy used Woolich for a program... And cold starts have been just fine for me... Ok cool. I was reading into there options. Is there anything the Power Commander 5 can do that the woolich software cannot do? All money aside of course...
