Good evening everyone! I was riding with a friend today that had a 07 gsx-r750 and saw his rear shock had damping adjustment. Im wondering if anyone would happen to know if any of the gsx-r rear shocks would fit our gsx-s750

yea that is the down side of having a new design of bikes not much background in the modification area.

Research and development department, as in, we buy stuff, and let everybody know if it works or not!

Were they different lengths eye to eye? Was the nitrogen resivior in a different position?

My neighbor gave me a rear shock that he had when he owned his gixxer 750. I'll let you know my findings. I'm not sure how mechanically inclined I am but I do know I'm not afraid to work on it. I've worked on several bikes and have already built one.

Update with some pictures of the difference of the two, even if it doesn't work out.

Just attempted to put on the gixxer rear shock was unsuccessful, the gixxer shock has a smaller gap at the buttom where it connects to the dogbones. The holes are the same size, and the top part is the same, but the gixxer is slightly shorter (less than .5 inch shorter) eye to eye. I felt that there was plenty of room for a piggy back to live in. Not quite sure what year that gixxer shock is but if I had to guess its 07 and up model.
The only thing that really prevented me from getting it on is the bottom part of the gixxer shock and if I had proper power tools I would have made it work.

OK not a rear shock alone but just to show what can be done thought I would add this from a reply I gave on the UK GSR forum a while back of a GSR/GSX 750 owner who fitted a GSR600 swingarm. ------------------------------- Haven't done it myself but I've been searching. Other than a custom/bespoke one the only one I've found so far was by an admin called Bonecollector on www.gsr-forum.net who managed to get a GSR600 arm fitted to his GSR750. It looks like it wasn't a straight swap but the are loads of pictures and google translate for understanding the German, although I've seen some of his replies to people in English as well. Looks very smart though. something Suzuki should have done themselves. He also did an under seat exhaust conversion as well. www.gsr-forum.net/showthread.php?1388-Meine-GSR750-(Stealth-Fighter)-%80-Finalisiert!!-Seite-34 page29 onwards Save

I like the under seat exhaust and swingarm of the GSR600. It's too bad you have to be a madman to get those features on our bike.
