Without a projector housing to put it in it will be bright in all the wrong ways like all the other shitty hid conversions out there. it needs a projector housing to be correct. whenever I see someone with hid bulbs without projector lenses I flip my brights on them because that's how I feel when I see them

Speaking from experience, don't do it. I went as far as oem ballasts and a really nice bulb. I burnt the inside of my first headlight housing. I then picked up a 3" projector. Tried installing it into a new housing and it didn't fit. Picked up a 2.5" projector and ended up ruining the darn thing. I've hit up a few companies that do this exact thing without any luck. I bought a Sylvania ultra bulb and haven't looked back. Have you adjusted your headlight yet? They come factory pointed down.

I haven't adjusted anything but definitely noticed it's pointed down. Any tips on doing it? I've never opened up the front and have no idea how to adjust anything in there. Can you post a link for the Sylvania ultra bulb? That'd definitely be the next purchase for me.

Yeah, it's pretty straight forward. Screw on the left, you can see it rile turning the wheel right. Hope that helps!

Glad you posted this. I was actually thinking about doing this during the winter with: www.theretrofitsource.com/motorcycle-specific/hid-systems/motorcycle-stage-1-single.htmlI'm curious, did the 2.5" projector fit? What got ruined?

Your kit looks a lot less invasive than the one I got. I needed to modify the back of the housing . I had dropped the darn thing and cracked a chunk off. I was very disappointed in myself. Definitely throw out that ballast and pick up one for a bmw at a junk yard. Higher output, almost instant warm up.

Looks like the kit I listed has a 3" projector. If I go ahead with the retrofit, I'll look into swapping it for a 2.5" projector. Too bad these wouldn't fit in our housings www.jwspeaker.com/blog/new-led-motorcycle-headlight-adapative/ .

Like I said, mine required modding, yours appears to go through the original hole. It might be worth it to try.

Can you post a link for the Sylvania ultra bulb? That'd definitely be the next purchase for me. I added the same Sylvania bulb and replaced the tiny little lights above the headlight with LEDs. Also added U7 lights mounted to the turn signals. Plenty of light now! YOu'll need to adjust stock light up. I turned the screw about 5 or 6 turns to get it right.

Clockwise..or counterclockwise to adjust up? I've read both ways on different threads. Thanks.
