Whats the gas of choice for your rides i heard 87 plus is fine but if i can avoid damage by using higher octane please let me know i know the manual says 87 or higher

Running higher octane won't help. Manual says 87, run 87. There won't be any gains or benefits of spending the extra money unless you get the engine tuned to run those fuels.
If anything, you might get a decrease in performance because the engine isn't tuned for higher octanes.

Fuel is so shitty these days the higher octane fuels have less ethanol, I won't run anything but 91 premium. I would run ethanol free premium but I can't get it close enough to my house.

And thats better for our engines i imagine than the 87 does it run smoother?

The higher the octane, the harder it is to ignite. Low octane fuels work well in high rpm situations, but poorly in high compression engines. That's why race engines and turbo vehicles need the higher octane. Higher octane fuels prevent premature detonation. The easier it is for the fuel to fire the better in our high rpm 750s.

Just wanted to revive this thread - the sticker on my 2018 says to run no lower than 90 octane, just fyi:

My 2018 says premium only right on the gas tank.
